ADSL, SDSL and Mobile Broadband

Getting your business connected

As a Spitfire Authorised Partner, we are able to provide our clients with a wide range of Business Broadband and IP services.

ADSL, SDSL, VDSL... what's the difference?

Depending on where your business is located, different types of broadband internet services are available to you. If you're based in a city or large urban area, then you may be able to benefit from higher speed services such as VDSL which offer up to 40MB downstream and 10MB upstream speeds.

For those business outside these areas, ADSL2+ is available in most exchanges. ADSL2+ is a "rate adaptive" service which means you get the best possible speed your telephone line will support. This can be up to 24MB downstream and 1MB upstream however rural areas will typically get between 4MB and 8MB downstream and 512KB to 1MB upstream speeds.

Mobile Broadband

If you work "on-the-road" and use a laptop or netbook, then a Mobile Broadband solution could be the answer. Mobile broadband utilises the Cellular Data (mobile phone) network to provide you with an internet connection. While not as fast as a land-line based broadband service, mobile broadband gives you the freedom to work remotely almost anywhere.
